Knitted pullover with butterfly.
Size: S (M, L, XL, XXL)
Circumference: 92.5 (101.5, 113, 123, 133.5) cm.
Length: 63.5 (66, 68, 71, 73.5) cm.
You will need: 1150 (1250, 1400, 1550, 1750) g Berroco Pure Merino yarn (100% wool, 50 g/85 m), 4.5 and 5.5 mm knitting needles, 4.5 mm circular needles, stitch marks, extra cable needle.
Knitting density: 26 loops * 18 rows = 10 * 10 cm.
Description: knitting
Back: Using smaller needles, cast on 94 (102, 110, 122, 130) stitches.
Knit with an elastic band 2*2 – 8 cm. Switch to large knitting needles.
Purl a purl row, decrease 12 (12, 10, 14, 12) stitches along this row = 82 (90, 100, 108, 118) stitches.
Knit in stockinette stitch to height 43 (44.5, 45, 47, 48.5) cm.
Armholes: close on each side in every second row 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) loops – 1 time, 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) loops – 1 (2, 1, 2, 2) times, 2 loops – 0 (0, 1, 1, 2) times and 1 loop – 2 (2, 3, 2, 2) times = 68 (72, 76, 80, 86) loops.
Knit in stockinette stitch to a height of 14.5 (16.5, 17, 18.5, 19.5) cm from the armholes.
Track. Row (RS): K8, join second skein of yarn, bind off next 52 (56, 60, 64, 70) stitches, finish with knit. Knit sides from different skeins. Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the neckline in every second row – 6 times = 2 stitches on each side. Close the loops.
Before: knit as a back to a height of 33.5 (35, 35.5, 36, 37) cm from the cast-on edge.
Cutout for inserting the motif (front side): knit 41 (45, 50, 54, 59), connect the second skein of yarn, bind off 2 loops, finish with knit.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch, decrease on each side from the center front in every second row 2 loops - 1 (2, 3, 4, 3) times, then alternately 2 and 3 loops (first time 2, second time 3 loops) - 6 ( 6, 6, 6, 7) times.
At the same time, make decreases for the armholes as at the back.
Sleeve: Using smaller needles, cast on 42 (42, 46, 46, 50) stitches.
Knit with an elastic band 2*2 – 8 cm.
Switch to large knitting needles.
Purl stitches on the wrong side, simultaneously decrease 2 (0, 2, 0, 2) stitches along this row = 40 (42, 44, 46, 48) stitches.
Knit in stockinette stitch, adding 1 stitch on each side in every 9 (7, 5, 5, 5) row 1 time, then in every 10 (8, 6, 6, 6) row – 4 (2, 2, 6) , 10) times, then in every 12 (10, 8, 8, 8) row – 2 (5, 7, 4, 1) times = 54 (58, 64, 68, 72) loops.
At a height of 40 cm, bind off on each side in every second row 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) loops - 1 time, 2 loops - 1 time.
*Reduce 1 stitch on each side of the front row. Knit a row.
Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the front row. Knit 3 rows, repeat from * 3 more times.
Decrease on each side in every second row 1 loop - 5 (6, 7, 8, 9) times, then 2 loops - 1 time = 14 (6, 18, 20, 22) loops.
Close the loops.
Yoke: Using large needles, cast on 180 (196, 204, 212, 220) stitches. Knit the purl row using purl stitches. Knit according to pattern A, starting from the 13th (9, 5, 3, 1) row.
Repeat pattern 45 (49, 51, 52, 55) loops, repeat repeat 4 times.
Continue pattern A until row 38 = 92 stitches. Knit pattern B, starting from the first row.
Repeat pattern 23 loops, repeat repeat 4 times. Continue pattern B until the 23rd row = 4 loops on the knitting needles.
Break the thread, thread it through the last 4 loops, pull off and fasten.
Assembly: Sew the yoke to the front so that its center and V-neck line up. Sew the shoulders, sew the sleeves, sew the sleeve seams, sew the sides.
Collar: Using circular needles, cast on 32 (36, 40, 44, 48) stitches along the left side of the neckline, place a mark, cast on 32 (36, 40, 44, 48) stitches along the right side of the neckline, place a mark, cast on 120 (132, 144, 156, 168) stitches (put a mark in the center of the back) along the back neck, put a mark = 4 marks in the work. Join in a circular row. Knit with an elastic band 2*2, at the same time decrease 1 loop on each side of each mark (2 knit together behind the back wall before the mark and 2 knit together after the mark) in every second row - 4 times = 96 (108, 120, 132, 144 ) loops. Continue ribbing until the height is 25.5 cm. Close the loops with an elastic band.
