Snowflakes from Irina Zhadan (Khazeeva)
New Years is soon!
And I already have snowflakes hanging at home and cheering me up...
I crocheted them and starched them using PVA glue.
I knitted snowflakes for the first time. Basically, I used ready-made schemes. I found a very good book on the Internet by Caitlin Sainio “100 Snowflakes to Crochet” and knitted snowflakes using this book, as well as other patterns found on the Internet.
For knitting I used used light pink yarn and therefore specially used glue that had already turned yellow with time for starching. And as a result of this experiment, my snowflakes turned out to be the color of delicious, mouth-watering cookies from the oven and even slightly toasted at the edges…. I called them “delicious snowflakes.”
I have put on a lot of them and they are all different.

After completely processing all my snowflakes, I decided to make a pendant from smaller ones that can be hung above the doorway, attached to a chandelier, or hung in the wall opening.
I found a hoop from an old hoop and crocheted them with a pattern reminiscent of stars and attached snowflakes to the ring on thin ropes at 3 levels from the ring.
I was quite satisfied with the result of the work...
It is interesting to watch how the snowflakes sway and rotate slightly in the air currents.
So, meet...
