Psychedelic motifs typical of the hippie era are embodied this time in a three-color knit structure made from slipped stitches, framed at the bottom with a wide solid rib and narrower panels along the V-neck. The contrast to the main pattern is also provided by voluminous smooth sleeves.
Dimensions: 38/40 (46/48)
You will need: yarn (60% wool, 40% polyacrylic; 120 m/50 g) – 400 (500) g purple, 150 (200) g lilac and 100 (150) g dark green; knitting needles No. 4 and 4.5; circular knitting needles No. 4; 5 mother-of-pearl buttons with a diameter of 24 mm.
Pattern 1: elastic band (the number of loops is a multiple of 5 + 2 edge loops). Front rows: edge, * 1 front, 3 purl, 1 front, from * constantly repeat, edge. Purl rows: knit loops according to the pattern.
Pattern 2: front stitch = front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops.
Pattern 3: pattern of slipped loops (the number of loops is a multiple of 20 + 2 + 2 edge loops) = knit according to. scheme.
All rows are given on it. Start with loops in front of the right arrow, constantly repeat the repeat of 20 stitches between the arrows and end with loops after the left arrow. Constantly repeat 1-24th r.
Sequence of stripes: * 2 rub. purple, 2 r. lilac, 2 r. dark green, 2 r. lilac thread, from * constantly repeat.
Emphasized decrease: from the right edge = edge, knit 2 x 2 p. together with a slant to the left (= 1 p. slip off like a knit stitch, knit 1, then pull it through the removed loop). From the left edge = knit acc. pattern until the last 5 stitches, then knit 2 x 2 stitches together with the front and edge stitches.
Knitting density: pattern 3 – 20 p. x 37.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm; pattern 2 – 20 p. x 28 r. = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: Using purple thread on needles No. 4, cast on 87 (107) sts and for the bottom bar knit 12 cm = 33 r. pattern 1, while starting with 1 purl row.
Continue working on knitting needles No. 4.5 using pattern 3 acc. sequence of stripes, while in the 1st p. evenly add 17 sts = 104 (124) sts.
After 44 cm = 166 rubles. (48 cm = 180 rubles) close all loops from the bottom bar, of which the middle 40 (48) stitches form the neck, the outer 32 (38) stitches form the shoulders.
Left shelf: Using purple thread on needles No. 4, cast on 53 (63) sts and for the bottom bar knit 12 cm = 33 r. pattern 1, while in the 1st r. (= purl row) after the edge, start with 2 purls, 3 knits and finish with 1 purl and 1 edge.
Continue working on knitting needles No. 4.5 using pattern 3 acc. sequence of stripes, while in the 1st p. add 1 p. (= 54 (64) p.) and for size 38/40 finish with the first 11 stitches of rapport and 1 edge stitch.
After 27 cm = 102 r. (29 cm = 108 r.) From the bottom bar, subtract 1 x 2 p. on the left edge to bevel the neckline, then in every 4th r. 1 (3) x 2 p. and in every 6th p. 9 x 2 p.
After 44 cm = 166 rubles. (48 cm = 180 r.) From the bottom bar, close off the remaining 32 (38) sts.
Right shelf: knit in the same way as the left front, but in a mirror image, while for size 38/40 after the edge, start with the last 11 stitches of the repeat.
Sleeves: Using purple thread on knitting needles No. 4, cast on 62 (72) sts for each sleeve and knit 12 cm = 33 r for the placket. pattern 1, while starting with 1 purl row. Continue working on knitting needles No. 4.5 with pattern 2, while in the 1st r. evenly add 14 (12) sts = 76 (84) sts.
After 36 cm = 100 rub. (38 cm = 106 rubles) close all loops from the bar.
Assembly: sew shoulder seams.
For the strap, use purple thread on circular knitting needles to cast on 244 (279) sts along the sides and bevels of the front neckline and the edge of the back neckline and knit 4 cm with pattern 1, while in the 1st r. (= purl row) after the edge, start with 2 purls, 3 knits and finish in a mirror image.
After 2 cm from the set of loops in the fastener bar of the right front, evenly distributing until the neckline begins to bevel, make 5 holes for buttons (= 2 stitches, knit together, 1 yarn over).
Close the loops according to pattern. IN
sew sleeves, stretching slightly.
Sew sleeve seams and side seams. Sew buttons.
