Chest circumference – 81-86 (92-97, 102-107, 112-117) cm,
Chest circumference of the finished product – 97 (107, 117, 127) cm,
Length – 56 (58, 60, 62) cm,
Sleeve length at the seam – 46 (46, 46, 46) cm.
Necessary materials:
Debbie Bliss Piper yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 200 m / 100 grams per skein) – 6 (7, 7, 8) skeins.
Required tools:
Needles No. 3.75 and No. 4 additional needle, stitch holders.
Knitting density:
22 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch, made with size 4 needles.
When sewing the reverse stitch, the seam is not very neat. Therefore, the first and last stitches of each row should be knitted with a garter pattern (knit stitches in all rows). The parts should be sewn together using a mattress stitch.
Back:
Using 3.75 needles, cast on 130 (142, 154, 166) stitches using the long point cast-on.
1st row (purl): knit stitches.
2nd row: *2 knit stitches, 2 purl loops; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, knit 2 stitches.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 6 more times, then knit row 1 once.
Change the needles to number 4.
Next row (purl): 12 (18, 24, 30) knit loops, *3 purl loops, 10 knit loops, 3 purl loops, add 1 loop from the broach, [4 purl loops, add 1 loop from the broach] – 2 times , 3 purl loops, 6 knit loops; repeat from * 1 more time, 4 knit loops, 3 purl loops, 6 knit loops, 3 purl loops, add 1 loop from the broach, [4 purl loops, add 1 loop from the broach] – 2 times, 3 purl loops, 10 knit loops loops, 3 purl loops, 12 (18, 24, 30) knit stitches - 139 (151, 163, 175) loops on the needles.
1st row (front): 1 knit stitch, 10 (16, 22, 28) purl loops, [1st row of pattern A, 1st row of pattern B] – 2 times, 1st row of pattern C, 1 1st row of pattern B, 1st row of pattern C, 10 (16, 22, 28) purl stitches, 1 knit stitch.
2nd row (purl): 11 (17, 23, 29) knit stitches, 2nd row of pattern C, 2nd row of pattern B, 2nd row of pattern C, [2nd row of pattern B, 2- 1st row of figure A] – 2 times, knit stitches to the end of the row.
The 1st and 2nd rows establish the location of figures A, B and C.
Continue knitting in the established order, knitting the next rows of patterns, and the outer loops - with a garter pattern, until pattern B is completed - there are 106 (118, 130, 142) loops on the knitting needles.
1st row: 1 knit stitch, 10 (16, 22, 28) purl loops, [next row of pattern A, next row of pattern D] – 2 times, 1st row of pattern C, next row of pattern D, next row of pattern C, 10 (16, 22, 28) purl stitches, 1 knit stitch.
2nd row (purl): 11 (17, 23, 29) knit stitches, next row of pattern C, next row of pattern D, next row of pattern C, [next row of pattern D, next row of pattern A] – 2 times, knit loops to the end of the row.
The 1st and 2nd rows establish the location of patterns A, C and D. Continue knitting in the established order until the knitting height reaches 38 cm, ending with a purl row.
Armhole formation:
1st row (front): 1 front loop, knit 2 loops together purlwise, knit in the established order until the last 3 loops, knit 2 loops together purlwise behind the back walls, 1 front loop - 2 loops decreased.
2nd row: 1 knit stitch, 2 knit stitches together behind the back walls, knit until the last 3 stitches, purl 2 loops together, knit 1 loop – 2 stitches decreased.
Repeat the last 2 rows 2 more times - there are 94 (106, 118, 130) loops on the needles.
**Continue to knit straight until the armhole height reaches 19 (20, 21, 22) cm.
Shoulder bevel:
Cast off 9 (11, 12, 14) stitches at the beginning of the next 4 rows – there are 58 (62, 70, 74) stitches on the needles.
Cast off 10 (11, 14, 15) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows - 38 (40, 42, 44) stitches on the needles.
Transfer the remaining stitches to the stitch holder for cutting the neckline.
Before:
Knit as a back to **.
Continue knitting until the knitting height is 12 rows less than the back height.
Neckline:
Work 38 (43, 48, 53) stitches, turn the work and knit only one side of the neckline on these stitches.
Cast off 3 stitches at the beginning of the next row - 35 (40, 45, 50) stitches on the needles.
Cast off 2 stitches at the beginning of the next row and every other row - 31 (36, 41, 46) stitches on the needles.
Decrease 1 stitch at the beginning of each 2nd row 3 times - there are 28 (33, 38, 43) loops on the knitting needles.
Shoulder bevel:
Cast off 9 (11, 12, 14) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 knit rows - 10 (11, 14, 15) stitches on the needles.
Cast off remaining 10 (11, 14, 15) stitches.
Slip center 18 (20, 22, 24) stitches onto stitch holder for neckline.
On the wrong side, attach the working thread to the remaining 38 (43, 48, 53) loops and knit them to the end of the row.
Cast off 3 stitches at the beginning of the next row - 35 (40, 45, 50) stitches on the needles.
Cast off 2 stitches at the beginning of the next row and every other row - 31 (36, 41, 46) stitches on the needles.
Decrease 1 stitch from the neckline side 3 times - there are 28 (33, 38, 43) stitches on the needles.
Shoulder bevel:
Cast off 9 (11, 12, 14) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 purl rows - 10 (11, 14, 15) stitches on the needles.
Cast off remaining 10 (11, 14, 15) stitches.
Sleeves:
Using 3.75 needles, cast on 54 (54, 58, 58) stitches using the long end cast-on method.
1st row (purl): knit stitches.
2nd row: *2 knit stitches, 2 purl loops; repeat from * to the end of the row.
Repeat the last 2 rows 6 more times, then knit the 1st row 1 time.
Next row: knit stitches, evenly adding 2 (6, 6, 10) stitches - 56 (60, 64, 68) stitches on knitting needles.
Change the needles to number 4.
1st row (front): 1 knit stitch, 5 (7, 9, 11) purl loops, 1st row of pattern C, 5 purl loops, 1st row of pattern D, 5 purl loops, 1st row of pattern A, 5 (7, 9, 11) purl loops, 1 knit stitch.
2nd row: 6 (8, 10, 12) knit stitches, 2nd row of pattern A, 5 knit stitches, 2nd row of pattern D, 5 purl loops, 2nd row of pattern C, 6 (8, 10 , 12) facial loops.
Continue knitting in the established order, knitting the next rows of patterns, and at the same time perform sleeve formations:
Knit 3 rows straight.
Next row (increases): 2 knit loops, add 1 loop from the broach, knit until the last 2 loops, add 1 loop from the broach, 2 knit loops - 2 loops added.
Knit 7 stitches straight.
Repeat last 8 stitches until there are 84 (88, 92, 96) stitches on the needles.
Continue knitting straight until the sleeve height reaches 46 cm.
Sleeve roll:
1st row: 1 front loop, knit 2 loops together with a purl, knit until the last 3 loops, knit 2 loops together with a purl behind the back walls, 1 front loop - on the knitting needles 82 (86, 90, 94) loops.
2nd row: 1 knit stitch, knit 2 stitches together behind the back walls, knit until the last 3 stitches, purl 2 loops together, knit 1 loop - 80 (84, 88, 92) stitches on knitting needles.
Repeat the last 2 rows 2 more times - there are 72 (76, 80, 84) loops on the needles.
Close all loops.
Completion:
Steam the parts.
Neck strap:
Sew the right shoulder seam.
Using knitting needles No. 3.75 and right side, cast on and knit 19 stitches down the left side of the front neckline, knit the center 18 (20, 22, 24) front stitches, cast on and knit 19 stitches up the right side of the front neckline, knit knit 38 (40, 42, 44) stitches for back neckline - total 94 (98, 102, 106) stitches on knitting needles.
Next row: knit stitches.
1st row: 2 knit stitches, *2 purl loops, 2 knit stitches; repeat from * to the end of the row.
Repeat last 2 rows 2 more times.
Close all loops.
Sew the left shoulder seam and the neckband seam. Sew the sleeves into the armholes. Sew side seams and sleeve seams. Thread the ends of the threads.
