The jumper is made from DROPS Belle yarn, knitted from top to bottom in raglan with an openwork pattern, has a double binding at the edges and short sleeves. Sizes: S – XXXL
Dimensions: S – M – L – XL – XXL – XXXL
You will need:
Yarn DROPS BELLE (53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen, 120m/50g)
350-400-450-500-550-600 g, color 25, forest brown
Spokes:
Circular knitting needles DROPS sizes 3 and 4 mm, line length 40 and 80 cm.
DROPS stocking needles sizes 3 and 4 mm.
To knit in the round, you can use the MAGIC LOOP technique - in this case, you will need circular knitting needles on 80 cm fishing line of all specified sizes.
Knitting density:
21 stitches and 28 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
Note! The knitting needle sizes are given as a guideline. If there are too many stitches in a 10cm knitted pattern, use larger needles. If there are too few stitches in the 10 cm sample, take smaller needles.
EXPLANATIONS FOR KNITTING:
PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 – A.3.
EXTRAS ON THE SIDE OF THE BODY:
Knit until there are 2 stitches left before the marker, make 1 yarn over, knit 4 (the marker will remain in the middle of these 4 loops), make 1 yarn over.
In the next circular row, knit yarn overs with crossed loops. Next, knit new stitches in stockinette stitch.
DECREASES ON SLEEVES:
Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker like this: knit until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the right, knit 2 (the marker will remain between these 2 stitches). Knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the left.
KNITTING DESCRIPTION:
JUMPER, brief description of work:
Knit a double neckline and a yoke in the round on circular needles from the right shoulder on the back, from top to bottom. Divide the yoke into body and sleeves. Knit the body in the round on circular needles. Sleeves are knitted in the round on stocking/short circular needles.
DOUBLE NECK:
Cast on 119-119-119-147-147-156 stitches on 3mm short circular needles using DROPS Belle yarn.
Knit 1 round with knit stitches and evenly decrease 17-17-17-21-21-26 stitches = 102-102-102-126-126-130 stitches.
Then knit in stockinette stitch.
When 3 cm is knitted, knit the next circular row like this: * 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the right, 1 yarn over *, repeat stitches between stars until the end of the circular row (wavy edge).
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch for another 3 cm.
Place 1 marker at the beginning of the round. Next, knit the yoke and measure it from the marker.
YOKE:
Change the knitting needles to 4 mm circular knitting needles.
Knit the first round like this: 1 yarn over, 14-14-14-18-18-18 stitches in stockinette stitch, 1 yarn over, A.1, A.2 (start from the arrow for your size), A.1, 1 yarn over, 14-14-14-18-18-18 stitches in stockinette stitch, 1 yarn over, A.1, A.2, A.1.
1 increase was made for raglan, there are now 110-110-110-134-134-138 stitches on the needles.
Continue knitting with the pattern and make increases for raglan in every 2nd round, i.e. on the sleeves, add 1 loop, making 1 yarn over on each side of the stitches of the front stitch (knit yarn overs in the next circular row with crossed loops so that there are no holes).
Raglan increases on the front/back are shown in diagram A.2.
Note! The round start marker should always be before the yarn over at the beginning of the round.
WATCH THE DENSITY OF KNITTING!
When A.2 is fully knitted in height, the raglan increases will be made a total of 19-19-19-15-15-14 times and there will be 254-254-254-246-246-242 stitches on the needles.
Continue knitting with the pattern (repeat the pattern repeat as shown in A.2) and continue making increases for the raglan like this:
Dimensions S – M – L – XL:
Sleeves, front and back: increase as before in every 2nd round another 8-8-16-16 times (total 27-27-35-31 times).
Dimensions XXL – XXXL:
Sleeve: make increases, as before, in every 2nd circular row another 13-14 times, then in every 4th circular row 6-9 times (34-37 times in total).
Front/back: make increases, as before, in every 2nd round row another 24-32 times (39-46 times in total).
After the last raglan increase there will be 318-318-382-374-418-462 stitches on the needles.
Next knit the pattern like this: 68-68-84-80-86-92 stitches in stockinette stitch on sleeve, A.1, A.3A, knit A.3B 5-5-7-7-9-11 times, A.3C , A.1, 68-68-84-80-86-92 stitches in stockinette stitch on sleeve, A.1, A.3A, knit A.3B 5-5-7-7-9-11 times, A.3C ,A.1.
When the height of the yoke is approx. 20-22-25-25-28-33 cm from the marker on the neckline (raglan increases must be completed and 1 round must be knitted as described), divide the yoke into the body and sleeves.
Knit the next round like this:
slip the first 68-68-84-80-86-92 stitches onto the holder (=sleeve) and cast on 4-10-6-12-12-10 new stitches for cutting,
knit 91-91-107-107-123-139 stitches, as before,
slip the next 68-68-84-80-86-92 stitches onto the holder (=sleeve) and cast on 4-10-6-12-12-10 new stitches for cutting
and knit the last 91-91-107-107-123-139 stitches as before.
Finish knitting the body and sleeves separately. Further measurements should be made from this place.
BODY:
= 190-202-226-238-270-298 stitches.
Place 1 marker on each side of the body, in the middle of the new undercut stitches. Move the markers as you knit, they will be used later when making increases.
Knit 2-5-3-6-6-5 stitches to the first marker, now here is the beginning of the round.
Continue knitting the pattern in the round as before, knitting the undercut stitches on both sides in stockinette stitch.
When 5 cm from the division point is knitted, add 1 loop on each side from both markers (see explanation for knitting).
Make such increases every 6-6-6-6-6-5 cm, 3 times in total = 202-214-238-250-282-310 stitches.
When knitted approx. 23-23-22-23-22-19 cm from the split (but adjust the work so that at least 5 circular rows of stockinette stitch are worked after the hole row),
knit 1 round row with knit stitches and evenly add 50-54-60-62-70-78 stitches = 252-268-298-312-352-388 stitches.
Change the knitting needles to 3 mm circular knitting needles and knit an elastic band (1 k/1 p) to a height of 4 cm. Loosely bind off the loops. Jumper length – approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm from the shoulder.
SLEEVE:
Slip 68-68-84-80-86-92 stitches from the holder on one side onto 4mm stocking/short circular needles and in addition pick up 1 stitch over each of the previously cast on 4-10-6-12-12-10 stitches undercut = 72-78-90-92-98-102 sts.
Place a marker in the middle of the undercut stitches and move it as you knit; it will be used when making decreases.
Start a round row from the marker and knit in stockinette stitch in the round.
When 3-3-2-2-2-1 cm are knitted from the place of division, decrease 1 loop on each side of the marker (see explanations for knitting).
Decrease every 3-3-2-2-1½-1 cm, for a total of 4-4-5-5-5-4 times = 64-70-80-82-88-94 stitches.
Work in stockinette stitch to a height of 15-14-12-11-9-5 cm from the split point.
Then perform a double tie in the same way as on the neckline.
Knit 1 round with knit stitches and evenly decrease 10-12-16-12-12-12 stitches = 54-58-64-70-76-82 stitches.
Change the needles to stocking needles size 3 mm. Knit in stockinette stitch 3 cm.
Knit the next circular row like this: * 2 knit stitches together, slanted to the right, 1 yarn over *, repeat stitches between stars until the end of the circular row (wavy edge).
Knit in stockinette stitch for another 3 cm. Change to stocking needles size 4 mm and bind off the stitches loosely.
Knit the second sleeve as well.
ASSEMBLY:
Fold the edge at the top of the neck and fold it in half inward. Sew the edge to the wrong side to create a double edge. The seam should be elastic so that the neck is not pulled or twisted.
Fold the edges of the sleeves inward and sew on the wrong side in the same way as on the neckline.
