The hood has gone from being an attribute of purely youth fashion to the everyday wardrobe of women of almost any age. Add timeless stripes and a loose, oversized fit to the hood and you’ll get a modern, comfortable pullover.

You will need: 400 g each of green melange and gray melange yarn Schoppel-Wolle “Zauberwolle” (100% merino wool; 250 m/100 g); hook No. 3.5.

Knitting technique.
Pattern for planks: Art. b/n. Start each row with 1 air. p. rise and finish 1 tbsp. b/n in the 1st article. b/n previous row

Main pattern: any number of loops.
Front row: 1 air. p. rise, then knit st. b/n, inserting the hook only into the back links of the loops of the previous row.
Purl row: 2 air. p. rise, then knit a half-stitch, inserting the hook into both links of the loops of the previous row.

Color sequence: alternately 2 rows of gray melange and green melange thread.


Knitting density main pattern 19p and 29p = 10 X 10 cm

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Attention: the pullover is knitted in different directions. The arrows on the pattern indicate the direction of knitting. When joining, slightly stretch or fit the corresponding edges or parts to fit on the pattern. Dimensions are partially obtained by measuring the model.
It is recommended to make a full-size pattern of the model and, applying work to it, control the additions and decreases.

Back: Use a gray melange thread to tie a chain of 106 p. + 1 air. p. lifting, knit 1 row st. b/n and knit with the main pattern in the sequence of colors, starting from the 2nd (purl) row. After 64 cm = 102 r. from the typesetting edge finish the work.

Before: consists of 3 parts. For part A, use a gray melange thread to knit a chain of 109 p. + 1 air. p. lifting and 1 row st. b/n, then knit with the main pattern in the sequence of colors, starting from the 2nd (purl) row. At the same time, starting from the 2nd row from the cast-on edge, decrease for side bevels on both sides in each row by 1 p. After 34 cm = 54 r. From the cast-on edge, knit the remaining 3 stitches together.

For part B, on the right bevel of part A, knit 77 stitches with a gray melange thread. b/n, then knit with the main pattern in the sequence of colors, starting from the 2nd (purl) row. At the same time, starting from the 2nd row from the cast-on edge, decrease 1 stitch for the right side seam at the right edge of the work in each row.

After 45 cm = 72 r. finish work on the last 6 stitches.

For part C, on the left bevel of part A and the left edge of part B, knit 153 sts with a gray melange thread. b/n and knit with the main pattern in the sequence of colors, starting from the 2nd (purl) row. At the same time, starting from the 2nd row from the cast-on edge, for side bevels, decrease 1 stitch on both sides in each row.

After 14 cm = 22 r. skip 20 stitches for the neckline at the right edge of the work and 4 x 2 stitches in every 4th row. Next, at the right edge of the work, knit 20 rows in a straight line without further decreases, then again decrease 1 stitch in each row. Decrease at the left edge of the work continue. After 47.5 cm = 76 r. knit the last 3 stitches together.

Sleeves: Use a gray thread to tie a chain of 70 air. p. + 1 air. p. lifting and 1 row st. b/n, then knit with the main pattern in the sequence of colors, starting from the 2nd (purl) row. After 29.5 cm = 47 r. from the typesetting edge finish the work.

Assembly: sew shoulder seams.

For the hood, mark the middle of the front neckline. Using a green melange thread, starting at a distance of 4.5 cm to the right of the mark, knit 1 row of 109 sts. b/n to the edge of the neckline, while to sew the underside of the fastener behind the first 8 loops of the row, finish again with 8 loops.

Knit further with the main pattern in the color sequence, starting with the 2nd (purl) row of the main pattern and the 4th row of the color sequence.

To round on both sides, skip 4 x 2 sts in every 2nd row = 93 sts

After 24 cm = 38 r. from the beginning of the hood, skip the middle loop and knit further separately = 46 sts. To round, skip 4 x 1, 1 x 6 and 4 x 7 sts at the inner edge in every 2nd row.

After 36.5 cm = 58 r. from the beginning of the hood, finish working on the remaining 8 stitches. Sew the top seam of the hood. Sew in sleeves, sew sleeve seams and side seams.
