pattern

You will need: yarn (100% merino wool; 120 m/50 g) - 650 (700) 750 g blue; knitting needles No. 3.5; short circular needles No. 3.5.

Pattern 1: rib = after the initial row, start with 1 purl row: edge, * knit 1, purl 2, knit 1, from * repeat constantly, edge. In the front rows, knit the loops according to the pattern. Circular rows: alternately knit 2, purl 2.

Pattern 2: knit stitch = knit rows - knit stitches, purl rows - purl stitches.

Pattern 3: pattern of “braids” (initially for 94 loops): knit according to. diagram 1. It shows the facial rows. In the purl rows, knit all the loops according to the pattern. For the 1st half of the pattern, perform 1 loop of the pattern. Then perform the 2nd half in a mirror image, to do this, perform all the loops of the pattern from the middle 1 more time from left to right, while crossing the loops to the right (see legend) and for decreases, instead of knitting 2 loops together, knit 2 loops together with an inclination to the left. Complete rows 1-180 once.

Pattern 4: “braid” on the sleeve (for 16 loops): knit according to. diagram 2. It shows all the front rows and 1 purl row. In the unreduced purl rows, knit all the loops according to the pattern. Repeat rows 1-28 constantly.

Knitting density: pattern 1 - 32 rub. = 10 cm; pattern 2-23 p. x 31 r. = 10×10 cm; patterns 2 and 3 on average (measure slightly stretched) 25 p. x 31 r. = 10 x 10 cm; pattern 4-16 p. = 5.5 cm.

Description of work

Back: cast on 98 (106) 114 stitches on the knitting needles and for the strap knit 11 cm = 35 rows with pattern 1, while in the last row in the middle decrease 1 p. = 97 (105) 113 p. Continue working with pattern 2.

After 34 cm = 106 rows (33 cm = 102 rows) 31.5 cm = 98 rows from the bar, close for a raglan bevel on both sides 1 x 3 (4) 5 p., then in every 2nd row 1 (3) 5 x 1 p. and in the next 4th row 1 x 1 p. = 87 (89) 91 p. Then close alternately in each 2nd and 4th rows 24 x 1 p. After 60 cm = 186 rows from close the remaining 39 (41) 43 stitches for the neckline.

Before: cast on knitting needles 106 (114) 122 loops and for the strap knit 11 cm = 35 rows with pattern 1. Continue working as follows: edge, 5 (9) 13 p. pattern 2.94 p. pattern 3, 5 (9) 13 p. pattern 2, edge.

Attention: the decreases in pattern 3 serve to balance the pattern and prevent the width from increasing when pattern 3 is shortened; on the pattern they are contained in raglan and neck sizes.

After 34 cm = 106 rows (33 cm = 102 rows) 31.5 cm = 98 rows from the bar, close for a raglan bevel on both sides 1 x 3 (4) 5 p., then in every 2nd row 2 (4) 6 x 1 p. = 90 (92) 94 p. Make further decreases according to. scheme; at the same time, for size 2 on both sides, knit pattern 2 is 1 p. more, for size 3 on both sides - 2 p. more than in the diagram.

After 54 cm = 168 rows from the bar, close off the middle 18 (20) 22 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately. To round the inner edge, close in every 2nd row 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 sts. After 58 cm = 180 rows from the bar, knit the remaining 2 loops + the edge stitch together with the knit stitch and pull the thread through the last one loop.

Left sleeve: cast on 64 (72) 80 stitches on knitting needles and knit in the 1st purl row as follows: edge, 23 (27) 31 sts with pattern 1, start with knit 1 and end with purl 2, knit 2, purl 2, 4 knit, purl 4, knit 4, 23 (27) 31 p. pattern 1 in mirror image, edge. This purl row is not taken into account in subsequent calculations. Continue working as follows: edge stitch, 23 (27) 31 stitches with pattern 1, distributing the loops as indicated, 16 stitches with pattern 4, 23 (27) 31 stitches with pattern 1 in a mirror image, edge stitch. After 4.5 cm = 14 rows from the initial row on both sides after and before the edge, respectively, knit the outer 3 loops with pattern 2, continue the remaining patterns. Next, 5 times in every 16th row (6 times in every 14th row) 7 times in every 12th row, expand section 2 on both sides by 4 loops towards the middle, until on both sides of the “braid” pattern 4, work on all loops will not be continued with pattern 2. At the same time, add sleeves on both sides for bevel in every 24th row from the initial row 4 × 1 p. (in every 30th row 3 × 1 p.) in every 38 - row 2 x 1 p. pattern 2 = 72 (78) 84 p. After 40 cm = 124 rows (39 cm = 120 rows) 37.5 cm = 116 rows from the initial row, close for a raglan bevel on both sides 1 x 3 (4) 5 p., then close the loops along the right edge, as on the back, along the left edge, as on the front. After 24 cm = 74 rows (25 cm = 78 rows) 26.5 cm = 82 rows from the beginning of the raglan, after the last front decrease on the left edge, close off 1 x 4 stitches for the neckline and in every 2nd row 2 x 4 p. After 26 cm = 80 rows (27 cm = 84 rows) 28.5 cm = 88 rows from the beginning of the raglan or after 66 cm = 204 rows from the beginning row, close the remaining 4 sts.

Right sleeve: knit in the same way as the left sleeve, but in a mirror image.

Assembly: perform raglan seams, as well as side seams and sleeve seams. Cast on 112 (116) 120 stitches on circular knitting needles along the edge of the neckline and for the golf collar knit 18 cm in pattern 1 in circular rows. Then close all the loops according to the drawing.
