A charming short-sleeved summer cotton dress knitted with openwork motifs at the center front and back, framed by a structural pattern of knit and purl stitches.

Dimensions: 38/40 (42/44) 46/48.

You will need: yarn (100% cotton; 70 m/50 g) - 700 (750) 800 g coral; knitting needles No. 4.5; circular needles No. 4.

Patterns for knitting an openwork dress for women

Facial smoothing. Front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops.

Purl stitch. Front rows - purl loops, purl rows - front loops.

Central motif at 43 p. Knit according to the pattern. It shows only the facial rows; in purl rows, knit loops according to the pattern, knit yarn overs purl. Constantly repeat 1-20 r.

Cross-ribbed pattern. Knit * 2 r. purl stitch, 8 r. facial smooth surface, from * constantly repeat.

Knitting density: cross-ribbed pattern - 17.5 p. x 23 r. w 10 x 10 cm; central motif - 43 stitches - width 22 cm.

Description of knitting

Back. On knitting needles No. 4.5, using a double cross cast-on (see p. 27), cast on 111 (117) 125 sts and knit 1 purl. R. purl. This series is not taken into account in further calculations.

Then distribute the pattern loops as follows: edge stitch, 33 (36) 40 stitches of cross-ribbed pattern, 43 stitches of the central motif, 33 (36) 40 stitches of cross-rib pattern, edge stitch. For bevels along the hip line on both sides, decrease 5 times in every 10th r. and 4 times every 8th r. 1 p. each - 93 (99) 107 p.

After 52 cm = 120 rub. from the initial row for side bevels on both sides, add 1 p. and in the next 16 p. 1 time for 1 p. = 97 (103) 111 p.

After 65 cm = 150 rub. from the initial row for armholes on both sides, first decrease 1 time in 6 stitches, then 4 times in every 2nd row. and 2 times every 4th r. 1 p. each = 73 (79) 87 p.

After 78 cm = 180 rub. (80 cm = 184 rub.) 82 cm = 188 rub. From the initial row for the neck, close the middle 21 sts and finish both sides separately. For rounding from the inner edge in every 2nd r. close 3 times for 2 p. and 4 times for 1 p.

After 87 cm = 200 rub. (89 cm = 204 rub.) 91 cm = 208 rub. From the initial row, close off the remaining 16 (19) 23 shoulder stitches. Finish the second side symmetrically.

Before. Knit like a back.

Sleeves. Using knitting needles No. 4.5, in a double cross cast-on, cast on 60 (66) 76 stitches for each sleeve and knit 1 purl. R. purl. This series is not taken into account in further calculations. Then continue working with a cross-ribbed pattern.

After 13 cm 30 r. from the initial row for piping the sleeves on both sides, close first 1 time, 4 sts each, and then in every 2nd p. 4 more times, 1 p., in every 4th r. 5 times 1 p., then again in every 2nd r. 3 times 1 p.

After 29 cm in 66 r. From the initial row, close off the remaining 28 (34) 44 sts.

Assembly. Sew shoulder seams. For binding along the edge of the neckline, on circular needles No. 4, cast on 142 sts and bind off the loops as follows: additionally cast on 5 sts, * knit 4, knit the last loop together with the next cast-on loop, knit crossed, do not turn the work, but 5 sts again transfer to the left knitting needle, repeat from * until all the loops cast on along the edge of the neck are closed. Close off the remaining 5 sts and sew them to the edge of the newly cast on 5 sts. Sew in the sleeves. Sew sleeve seams and side seams.
