Pullover with wrap effect

knitted pullover

Ideal for dresses or pleated skirts: a sophisticated pullover with a wrap effect. If you look closely, you will see a silvery sheen in the air mesh. The solution to the riddle is an additional thread with shiny sequins.

Dimensions: 36/38 (40/42) 44/46

pattern

You will need: yarn 1 (40% viscose, 30% cotton, 20% linen, 10% polyamide; 125 m/50 g) – 300 (350) 400 g silver-gray; yarn 2 (100% polyester; 195 m/25 g) – 100 (125) 125 g grey-beige; knitting needles No. 5 and 5.5; hook No. 4,5 and 5.

Attention: knit with double thread (= 1 thread of each type of yarn).

Pattern 1 (knitting needles No. 5): garter stitch = knit and purl rows – knit stitches.

Pattern 2 (knitting needles No. 5.5): mesh pattern (number of loops is a multiple of 3 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) = knit according to the pattern.
It shows facial rows. In purl rows, purl all loops and yarn overs.
Start with 1 edge stitch and loops before the repeat, repeat the repeat all the time, finish with loops after the repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Constantly repeat the 1st-4th row.

knitting pattern

Knitting density: pattern 2 – 16 p. x 25.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm.

Attention: knit the pullover in one piece without shoulder seams, starting from the bottom edge of the back. Arrow on pattern = direction

Description of work:

For the back cast on the knitting needles 74 (80) 86 p. and for the bottom bar knit 1 cm = 3 r. pattern 1, start with 1 purl row and evenly add 4 sts in the last purl row = 78 (84) 90 sts.

Continue working with pattern 2. After 34.5 cm = 88 r. from the bottom bar, cast on 1 x 3 new loops on both sides for sleeve bevels, then in every 2nd r. 5 x 3 new loops and include in the pattern = 114 (120) 126 sts.

After 52 cm = in 132 r. (53.5 cm = in 136 r.) 55 cm = in 140 r. from the bottom bar, close the middle 12 sts for the neckline and finish both sides by 51 (54) 57 sts, respectively, separately.

Set aside the last 51 (54) 57 stitches for the left side of the front.

For the right side of the front continue working on the first 51 (54) 57 points acc. pattern. After 54 cm = 138 rub. (55.5 cm = 142 rub.) 57 cm = 146 rub. The shoulder/sleeve line has been reached from the bottom bar.

After 15 cm = 38 r. (16.5 cm = 42 rub.) 18 cm = 46 rub. from the shoulder/sleeve line, close along the right edge for sleeve bevels 1 x 3 p., then in every 2nd p. close 5 x 3 p. = 33 (36) 39 p. After 54 cm = 138 r. (55.5 cm = 142 rub.) 57 cm = 146 rub. from the shoulder/sleeve line, close along the left edge for the beveled edge of the front (= subsequently the lower side seam) 1 x 2 p., then in every 2nd r. * close 1 x 1 p. and 1 x 2 p., from * repeat another 9 (10) 11 times. After 70.5 cm = 180 rub. (73.5 cm = 188 rub.) 76.5 cm = 196 rub. from the shoulder/sleeve line (measure along the right edge), cut the thread, leaving an end of approx. 40 cm, and pull through the last loop. The end of the thread will later be used to sew a side seam. The left part of the front is knitted in a mirror image on the remaining 51 (54) 57 sts.

Assembly: sew the seams of the sleeves and then sew the upper side seams at 10.5 (8) 5.5 cm. Cross the front parts on the front side of the work from right to left and baste the beveled edges to the lower side edges of the back, combining the same icons on the pattern.

Turn the pullover inside out and sew the creased edges, while fitting the beveled edges of the front to the size between the badges.

Crochet the upper edges of the front and the edge of the back neck in one step with crochet No. 4.5 1 r. conn. Art., while slightly pressing the edges. Also tie the lower edges of the front with crochet No. 5 1 r. conn. Art., while slightly stretching the edges.
