Back. Using blue thread on needles No. 5, cast on 94 (106) sts in a cross cast-on (see p. 16) and knit 1 purl row. This series is not taken into account in subsequent calculations.

For the bottom bar, knit 5 cm with pattern 1. Then distribute the loops as follows: edge stitch, 10 stitches of pattern 5, 72 (84) stitches of pattern 4, 10 stitches of pattern 6, edge stitch.

After 32 cm = 70 rub. (34.5 cm = 76 r.) From the bottom bar, subtract 1 x 1 p. on both sides for raglan bevels, then in every 4th r. 3 x 1 p. and in every 2nd p. 20 (24) x 1 p.

After 56.5 cm = 124 r. (63 cm = 138 rubles) set aside the remaining 46 (50) stitches from the bottom bar.

Before. Knit like a back.

Sleeves. Using blue thread on needles No. 5, cast on 40 (44) stitches in a cross cast-on and purl 1 row. After 61 cm = 134 rubles. (67.5 cm = 148 r.) Set aside the remaining 24 sts from the bar.

Description of knitting mittens

Using carrot-orange thread on needles No. 4, cast on 48 stitches in a cross-shaped cast-on, while evenly distributing the stitches on 4 needles (= 12 stitches per needle). For the strap, knit 6 cm with pattern 1. Continue working with pattern 4. For the wedge of the thumb in the 3rd circle. R. From the bar at the beginning of the 1st knitting needle, knit 1 knit stitch crossed from a transverse thread and then knit this wedge loop with pattern 2. Then on both sides of the wedge loop, add 6 times in every 4th circle. R. 1 more p. (= 13 p. wedge), as a result, the number of wedge loops will gradually increase.

After 9 cm = 28 circle. R. set aside 13 sts of the wedge from the bar and continue working with pattern 2 on the remaining 48 sts, with circle 1 in the first place. R. decrease 8 sts evenly = 40 sts.

After 9.5 cm = 30 circle. R. from changing the pattern to give shape at the beginning of the 1st and 3rd knitting needles, knit the 2nd and 3rd stitches together with a tilt to the left, respectively, and at the end of the 2nd and 4th knitting needles knit the 3rd and 2nd sts from the end together, knit = 36 sts. Repeat these decreases 2 more times in every 2nd round. R. and 4 times in each circular row. Then pull the remaining 12 stitches together with a working thread.

For the thumb, continue working on the 13 delayed wedge loops with pattern 2 and at the transition point to the mitten, cast on another 3 sts = 16 sts. Distribute the stitches onto 4 knitting needles (= 4 sts per knitting needle).

After 4.5 cm = 14 circle. R. from the beginning of knitting the thumb, knit the first 2 sts on each knitting needle along with a tilt to the left = 12 sts. Knit another 1 circle, p., then pull the remaining 12 sts with a working thread. Knit the 2nd mitten in the same way.
