Warm jacket with braid pattern 

A new look for a classic: ice-blue yarn with cashmere, original “braids” and matching buttons – elegant and not at all boring! 

Warm women's jacket, knitted. The model has no elastic bands at all; all the strips are knitted with a small “rice” pattern. If instead of the straps we knit another wide braid and add a high collar, we will get a wonderful warm sweater. At the same time, it is perfect for both women and men.

For knitting you will need: yarn (90 % wool, 10 % cashmere, 160 m / 50 g) – 650 g, knitting needles No. 3.5 and No. 4, as well as 5 buttons.

Patterns used

Rice pattern: Row 1 – k1, p1. 2nd row – persons. knit purl and purl. knit.

Facial surface: in the front rows we knit the front loops, and in the purl rows we knit the purl loops.

Scythe A: knit according to pattern No. 1 (knit rows from 1 to 12 once, then constantly repeat rows from 5 to 12).

Scythe B: knit according to pattern No. 1 (a)

Honeycomb braid: knit according to pattern No. 2 (knit rows from 1 to 36 once. Then constantly repeat rows from 13 to 36).

Average knitting density: 33.5 p. x 33 r. = 10 x 10 cm.

Description of knitting a women's jacket

Back

We knit with knitting needles No. 4. We cast on 129 loops and knit the bottom bar with a rice pattern to a height of 4 cm. At the same time, in the last purl row, evenly distributed, add an additional 15 loops. There should be 144 stitches on the needles.
Next, we continue to work, distributing the loops in the following order: 1 edge, * 9 sts according to pattern 1, k4, * - repeat 2 more times, 9 sts according to pattern 1, 10 sts with a pattern according to pattern 2, 9 sts according to pattern No. 1 (a), 8 p. knit, 9 p. according to pattern 1, 10 p. according to pattern 2, * 9 p. according to pattern No. 1 (a), k4 * - repeat 2 more times, 9 p. according to scheme No. 1 (a), 1 chrome.
Having knitted the first 3 rows of the main pattern, you will have 186 loops on your knitting needles. We continue knitting straight. When we reach a total height of 36 cm, we begin designing the armhole line. To do this, close 11 loops on both sides. Next, we continue knitting straight without any curves.
At a total height of 56.5 cm, close all the loops. Using a marker, mark the middle 70 stitches that highlight the back neckline.

Left shelf 

Just like the back, we knit the front with knitting needles No. 4. We cast on 67 loops and knit the bar with a rice pattern to a height of 4 cm. At the same time, in the last purl row we cast on an additional 6 loops throughout the fabric. There will be 73 stitches on the needles.
Next, we distribute the loops in the following order: 1 edge, *9 sts according to pattern No. 1, k4* - repeat 2 more times, 9 sts according to pattern No. 1, 10 sts according to pattern No. 2, 9 sts according to pattern No. 1 (a), 4 persons, 1 chrome.
Having knitted the first 3 rows with the main pattern, there will be 94 loops on the knitting needles. We continue knitting straight. When we reach a total height of 36 cm, we begin designing the armhole line. To do this, close 11 loops on both sides.
At a total height of 44 cm, to decorate the neck line, close 8 loops on the opposite side of the armhole. To round it out, we close in every 2nd row - 2 times 4 loops, 2 times 3 loops, 6 times 2 loops and 2 times 1 loop. At back height, bind off all remaining stitches.

Right shelf

Knit symmetrically to the left front.

Sleeve

On knitting needles No. 4 we cast on 57 loops and knit the bar with a rice pattern to a height of 4 cm. In the last purl row we add an additional 7 loops. 
Next, we continue to work, distributing the loops in the following order: 1 edge, 4 knits, 9 sts according to pattern No. 1, 4 knits, 9 sts according to pattern No. 1, 10 sts according to pattern No. 2, 9 sts according to pattern No. 1 (a), 4 knits, 9 p. according to pattern No. 1 (a), 4 knits, 1 chrome. After the 3rd row of the main pattern, there will be 82 loops on the knitting needles.
To widen the sleeves, add 1 stitch in every 6th row 10 times. Then in every 4th row 18 times 1 loop. At a total height of 44 cm, close all loops.
Assembly and finishing First we make the shoulder seams.

For the neck strap, use knitting needles No. 4 to cast on 129 stitches and knit a rice knot to a height of 2.5 cm. Then we switch to knitting needles No. 3.5 and knit another 1.5 cm, cast off all the loops.
Along the side of the right shelf, we cast on 122 loops, including the edge of the neckline, and knit a rice pattern to a height of 1.5 cm. Then, knitting the first 6 loops from the bottom edge, make the first hole for the button.

Make the next 4 holes every 25 stitches.

Continue knitting the strap to a height of 3.5 cm.

Close the loops.

Make the left plank in the same way, but without holes.
Sew on sleeves and buttons.
