Top with straps

A seductive model with a pocket neckline and thin straps will not leave anyone indifferent! The simplicity of the patterns is compensated by the original design. The bottom panels rhyme with the sleeve panels and neckline trim thanks to a central ribbing motif. The front stitch decorated with mini-sequins as a basic pattern looks stylish and elegant

Dimensions: 38/40 (42/44) 46/48 (50/52)

You will need: Katia Milos sequin yarn (40% cotton, 40% recycled polyester, 20% polyester: 85 m/50 g) – 8 (9) 9 (10) skeins taupe (No. 84); knitting needles No. 4.5.

 Elastic band 1: knit alternately 1 knit, 1 purl.

Facial surface: front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops When knitting in the round, knit only front loops in all rows.

Mattress seam: to get flat and even seams, sew along the front side, grasping with a needle alternately each broach of both parts

Knitting density: facial stitch (knitting needles No. 4.5) – 18 sts. 24 r. = 10 x 10 cm;

stockinette stitch and elastic 1 – 20 p. x 24 r. = 10 x 10 cm.

Lightly steam the sample before starting measurements.

Back: on knitting needles No. 4.5, cast on 117 (125) 137 (145) sts and knit with rib 1, while knitting 1 purl at the beginning and end of the row.

 After 3.5 cm (= 8 r.) from the beginning row, knit the front row as follows: 7 sts with rib 1 (side cut), 40 (44) 50 (54) sts with knit stitch, middle 23 sts with rib 1, 40 (44) 50 (54) stitches in stockinette stitch, 7 stitches in rib stitch 1 (side cut).

Note: For a perfectly even edge of the cut, remove the last loop, as when knitting purl.

 After 8 cm from the starting row, continue knitting the first and last 7 stitches in stockinette stitch.

After 35 cm from the starting row (= knit row), to finish the armholes, knit the first and last 7 stitches again with rib 1, starting and ending with 1 purl.

 Note: For a perfectly even edge, remove the last stitch, as when knitting purl.

After 44 (45) 46 (47) cm from the initial row (= face row), begin forming the neckline.

To do this, knit 58 (62) 68 (72) sts and set these loops aside. Knit 12 stitches with rib 1, starting and ending with k1, at the same time decreasing 1 stitch (knit the middle back loop and the next stitch together with the knit stitch) = 11 stitches of neck tape.

Continue knitting the next 40 (44) 50 (54) sts in stockinette stitch, the last 7 sts with rib 1 (armhole trim).

To cut the neckline, decrease at a distance of 11 stitches from the inner edge in each subsequent stitch. row 14 x 1 p. (1 x 2 p. 13x1 p.) 2x2 p., 12 x1 p. (3x2 p., 11 x1 p.). Straps: at the same time, after 2.5 cm (= 6 r.) from the beginning of the neckline (= knit row), knit 7 sts with elastic band 1 and set these loops aside.

 Knit the next 4 sts with rib 1, starting and ending with k1. decreasing 1 p. (knit the first 2 p. together) = 3 p. binding.

Knit the remaining stitches according to the pattern and continue decreasing for the neckline, but at a distance of 3 stitches from the inner edge.

After 12 cm from the beginning of the neckline, close off the remaining 36 (39) 44 (47) sts for the shoulder.

Raise the 7 stitches set aside for the straps on the right and knit 9.5 cm with elastic band 1. Then bind off the loops.

Raise the postponed 58 (62) 66 (72) sts of the first half of the back and knit symmetrically to the left side.

Before: knit like the back, except for the neck.

After 38 (39) 40 (41) cm from the initial row (= front row), divide the work for the neckline. To do this, knit the first 58 (62) 68 (72) stitches and set these stitches aside.

 Knit 12 stitches with rib 1, starting and ending with k1, at the same time decreasing 1 stitch (knit the middle front stitch and the next stitch together with knit) = 11 stitches of neck tape.

Continue knitting the next 40 (44) 50 (54) sts in stockinette stitch, the last 7 sts with rib 1 (armhole trim).

To cut the neckline, decrease at a distance of 11 sts from the inner edge alternately in every next 2nd and in every next 4th p. 14 x 1 p. (alternately in every next 2nd and in every next 4th p. 1 x 2 p., 13 x 1 p.) in every next 2nd p. 2 x 2 sts, then alternately in every next 2nd and every next 4th p. 12 x 1 p. (in each next 2 p. 2 x 2 p., then alternately in every next 2 and in each next 4 p. 13 x 1 p.).

Straps: at the same time, after 7.5 cm (= 18 r.) from the beginning of the neckline (= knit row), knit 7 sts with elastic band 1 and set these loops aside.

Knit the next 4 stitches with rib 1, starting and ending with k1, decreasing 1 stitch (knit the first 2 stitches together) = 3 stitches of binding.

Knit the remaining stitches according to the pattern and continue decreasing for the neckline, but at a distance of 3 stitches from the inner edge.

 After 18 cm from the beginning of the neckline, close off the remaining 36 (39) 44 (47) sts for the shoulder.

Raise the 7 stitches set aside for the straps on the right and knit 10.5 cm with rib 1, then bind off the stitches. Raise the postponed 58 (62) 66 (72) sts of the first half of the front and knit symmetrically to the right side.

Assembly: sew shoulder seams and strap seams.

Sew side seams from slits to armholes approx. 35 cm.

Carefully steam the seams.
