Openwork jacket “Touch of Mint”

Size: S - M - L - XL - XXL - XXXL

You will need: 450-500-550-600-650-700 g of DROPS MUSKAT yarn from Garnstudio (100 m / 50 g, 100% mercerized cotton) color 20 mint, circular needles 4 mm (80 cm); circular knitting needles 3 mm (80 cm) - for garter stitch hem and front placket; 3-3-3-4-4-4 buttons (diameter 20mm)

Knitting density: 20 sts x 26 rows in pattern M.1 = 10 x 10 cm

Patterns:

Garter stitch (straight and reverse rows): knit all rows of faces.

The jacket is knitted in straight and reverse rows on circular needles. In the diagrams the pattern is shown with LS.

Cast on 160-174-188-209-230251 stitches (including 1 edge stitch on each side) on 3mm circular needles.

Knit in garter stitch approximately 2.5 cm.

Switch to 4 mm circular needles and continue as follows (1st row = RS): 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, repeat pattern M.1 until 5 sts remain, then knit from 1st to 4th sts of pattern M .1, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch.

Insert 2 markers into the piece after 36-39-4247-52-57 sts on each side.

Continue in the same way.

At a height of approximately 35-36-37-3839-40 cm, divide the part at the markers and finish each part separately.

Back: = 88-96-104-115-126-137 sts. Knit according to pattern M.1 as before - AT THE SAME TIME cast on new sts for sleeves at the end of each row on each side as follows: 4 sts in total 1-1-1-3 -4-5 times, 6 sts total 4-4-4-2-1-0 times (knit new stitches according to pattern) = 144-152-160-163-170-177 sts. Then cast on 11-10 -10- 9-8-5 new sts at the end of the next. 2 rows = 166-172-180-181-186-187 sts (including 1 edge stitch on each side in garter stitch).

Continue with the pattern as before. At a height of 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm bind off middle 16-18-20-21-22-23 sts for neck = 75-77-80-80-82-82 sts left for each shoulder (including 1 edge on each side in garter stitch). Now finish each shoulder separately. Continue in pattern and 1 stitch in garter stitch until length reaches 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm. Bind off sts.

Left shelf: = 36-39-42-47-52-57 sts. Now cast on new stitches for the sleeves as on the back, AT THE SAME TIME knitting new sts according to the pattern. When all increases are made, 75-77-80-80-82-82 sts on each shoulder (including 1 edge on each side in garter stitch). Continue knitting until the length reaches 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm. Bind off the loops.

Right shelf: Knit mirror the left front.

Assembly:

Sew shoulder seams and top seams. At the bottom of the sleeve, pick up 64-68-72-76-8084 sts on 3 mm circular needles. Knit in garter stitch in straight and reverse 2.5 cm rows. Cast off the stitches loosely. Similarly, tie the edge of the second sleeve. Sew armpit seams.

Front bar: raise with knit 260-320 sts inside 1 edge stitch on 3 mm circular needles. Start at the bottom of the right front, continue up along the piece, around the back neckline and finish down along the left front. Knit row 1 with WS - AT THE SAME TIME adjust the number of stitches to the number 277-289-301-313-325-337 (multiples of 12 + 1). Then knit pattern M.2, knit the last stitch of the row as the 1st stitch of pattern M.2. Knit pattern M.2 4 times vertically. Cast off the loops and AT THE SAME TIME knit the 1st row of pattern M.2.

Assembly: Sew buttons onto the left front placket as follows:

size S, M, L: Sew the 1st button on the 5th, 6th and 7th clove from the bottom edge of the jacket.

size XL, XXL, XXXL: sew on the 1st button on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th clove from the bottom edge of the jacket.

The holes (M.2 yarn overs) on the right front panel are used as holes for buttons.
