Note! The knitting needle sizes are given as a guideline. If there are too many stitches in a 10cm knitted pattern, use larger needles. If there are too few stitches in the 10 cm sample, take smaller needles.

EXPLANATIONS FOR KNITTING:

shawl knitting (knitting in rotary rows):
Knit all rows with facial stitches.
1 edge of garter stitch in height = 2 rows of knit stitches.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 – A.3. The diagrams show all the rows as they look on the front side of the work.

RAGLAN:
Increase for raglan on each side of 2 stitches in stockinette stitch (the marker is located between these two stitches) at each transition from the body to the sleeves (increase 8 stitches).
Increase 1 loop - make 1 yarn over, which in the next row is knitted with a crossed purl loop so that there is no hole left. Next, knit the new body loops in stockinette stitch, and the sleeve loops in a pattern.

V-Neckline:
All increases should be made on the front side of the work!
Make 1 yarn over next to the edge loop (inc 1 loop). In the next row (on the wrong side of the work), knit the yarn over with a crossed purl loop so that there is no hole. Increase 2 stitches on each row of increases (1 stitch on each edge).

BUTTON LOOPS (knit on the right shelf):
Knit 4 buttonholes.
1 loop = knit 2 loops together with a slant to the right and make 1 yarn over, knit a simple knit yarn over in the next row so that there is a hole.
Knit the bottom loop at a distance of 6 cm from the edge, and the top one – where the increases for the V-shaped neckline begin. Knit the remaining 2 loops at an equal distance from the first two.

KNITTING DESCRIPTION:

JACKET, brief description of work:
Knit the yoke in turning rows on circular needles, from top to bottom. Sleeves are knitted in an openwork pattern. Add loops to form a V-shaped neckline and raglan. Divide the yoke into the body and sleeves and continue knitting the body in turning rows. Knit the sleeves in the round, from top to bottom, with short circular needles. Finally, tie the neckline and trim.

YOKE:
Cast on 68-70-72-74-76-78 stitches using 5mm circular needles. Purl 1 row on the wrong side of the work.

Start knitting the pattern on the sleeves and at the same time make increases for the raglan and V-neck.

Without knitting the loops, place 4 markers (place the marker between 2 loops), then they will be used when making increases for raglan.

Count 3 stitches (= front), place marker, count 19 stitches (= sleeve), place marker, count 24-26-28-30-32-34 stitches (= back), place marker, count 19 stitches (= sleeve) , place marker, 3 stitches remain after last marker (= flange).

Next, knit the front row as follows: 1 edge loop in garter stitch (see explanations for knitting), k1, add 1 loop for raglan (see explanations for knitting), k2, add 1 loop for raglan, knit patterns A.1, A. 2, A.3, inc 1 raglan stitch, k2, inc 1 raglan stitch, k22-24-26-28-30-32, inc 1 raglan stitch, k2, inc 1 raglan stitch, knit patterns A.1, A.2, A.3, add 1 raglan stitch, k2, add 1 raglan stitch, k1 and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch.

Continue knitting the front and back loops in stockinette stitch, the sleeves in an openwork pattern and make increases for raglan in every 2nd row (in each front row), a total of 25-26-28-31-34-36 times on each side of each marker. After each knitting of A.1 and A.3 in height, there is room for another repeat of A.2 in width.

V-NECK:
AT THE SAME TIME, in the 6th row (3rd front row), add loops to form a V-shaped neckline on each edge (see instructions for knitting) like this: make increases in every 4th row 6-7-8- 9-10-11 times, then in every 6th row 4 times. WATCH THE DENSITY OF KNITTING!

After the last increase in raglan, continue knitting without increases so that the yoke becomes equal to 23-24-25-28-31-33 cm; The increases on the neck should be completed by this time. There are currently 288-300-320-348-376-396 stitches on the needles.

Work the first 39-41-44-48-52-55 stitches (front), slip the next 67-69-73-79-85-89 stitches onto the holder (sleeve) and cast on 10-12-12-14-16-20 new stitches for cutting, knit 76-80-86-94-102-108 stitches (back), slip the next 67-69-73-79-85-89 stitches onto the holder (sleeve) and cast on 10-12-12-14 -16-20 new stitches for cutting, knit the last 39-41-44-48-52-55 stitches (before). Make further measurements from this place!

BODY:
= 174-186-198-218-238-258 stitches. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch, edge stitches in garter stitch, another 16-17-18-17-16-16 cm. Knit 1 row with knit stitches on the right side of the work and evenly add 38-38-46-50-50-54. sts = 212-224-244-268-288-312 sts.

Change the knitting needles to 4 mm circular knitting needles. Next row on the wrong side of the work is knitted like this: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * p2, k2 *, repeat stitches between stars until 3 loops remain, p2, 1 edge in garter stitch. Knit an 8 cm elastic band, close the loops a little loosely.

Jacket length – approx. 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from the shoulder.

SLEEVES:
Slip 67-69-73-79-85-89 stitches from the holder on one side onto short 5mm circular needles and in addition pick up 1 stitch over each of the previously cast-on undercut stitches = 77-81-85-93-101-109 loops

Continue knitting according to pattern A.2, as before, knit stitches that do not fall into the repeat pattern.

Knit a sleeve 31-31-30-27-25-23 cm long from the split point. Bind off the stitches like knit stitches.

TRIM/NECK:
Place 1 marker in the middle of the back neckline, this will be used when picking up the stitches for the placket. The loops for the slats are made from the edge loops on the shelves.

Start on the right side of the work, at the bottom of the right shelf, pick up with 4 mm circular needles 113-117-121-125-129-133 stitches to the marker on the back. Then pick up 113-117-121-125-129-133 stitches on the second shelf, moving towards the edge. The total number of loops should be a multiple of 4 + 2 loops = 226-234-242-250-258-266 loops. If there are too many loops, the slats will be too loose, and if there are few, the slats will be tight.

Work on the wrong side of the work like this: 2 stitches in garter stitch, * p2, k2 *, repeat stitches between stars until there are 4 loops left, p2, 2 stitches in garter stitch.

When 1.5 cm of elastic is knitted, knit LOOPS for buttons on the right shelf (see explanations for knitting). Knit an elastic band with a total height of 3 cm. Close the loops a little loosely.

Sew buttons on the left shelf.
