Sweater Lowe knitted design Phildar

Jumper model with raglan sleeves, knitted on 3.5 mm merino knitting needles. All parts are knitted separately, the front, back and sleeves to the elbow are knitted in stockinette stitch, and the side parts and the upper part of the sleeves are knitted in a shadow pattern. Particular care is required in assembling the product according to the pattern, as well as sewing in the collar.

Dimensions: 34/36 – 38/40 – 42/44 – 46/48 – 50//52 European; chest circumference: 80/84 – 88/92 – 96/100 – 104/110 – 116/122 cm.

Materials: Phildar Merinos yarn 3.5 (100% merino, 50 g/130 m) 10 – 11 – 12 – 13 – 14 skeins, circular knitting needles 3 mm and 3.5 mm.

Knitting density: 24 loops and 32 rows = 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles; 24 stitches and 40 rows = 10x10 cm in shadow pattern on 3.5 mm needles.

Description of knitting.

Shadow pattern: *P2 rows. in stockinette stitch, 2 rows in stockinette stitch, repeat from *.

Back

On 3 mm knitting needles, cast on 60 – 68 – 80 – 88 – 104 sts and knit 6 cm with a 2x2 rib (2 knit stitches, 2 purl sts), finish the row with 3 knit stitches. Switch to 3.5 mm knitting needles, continue with stockinette stitch, evenly decreasing 6 – 6 – 8 – 8 – 8 sts in the 1st row = 54 – 62 – 72 – 80 – 96 sts. Then start adding 1 st on each side in every 6th row 14 times, then in every 4th row 5 times = 92 – 100 – 110 – 118 – 134 p.

For armholes, close 40 cm from the cast-on edge on each side (in every 2nd row, unless otherwise stated):

1) 1 p. 1 time, then in every 4th row close 1 p. 2 times;

2) 2 p. 2 times and 1 p. 1 time, then next. 4th row 1 p. 1 time;

3) 3 p. 1 time, 2 p. 3 times and 1 p. 1 time;

4) 4 p. 1 time, 3 p. 2 times, 2 p. 1 time and 1 p. 1 time;

5) 5 p. 1 time, 4 p. 1 time and 3 p. 3 times.

On knitting needles 86 – 88 – 90 – 92 – 98 sts. After 51.5 – 52.5 – 53.5 – 54.5 – 55.5 cm from the cast-on edge for shoulder bevels, close on each side at the beginning of each row:

1) 4 p. 10 times;

2) 4 p. 9 times and 5 p. 1 time;

3) 4 p. 8 times and 5 p. 2 times;

4) 4 p. 8 times and 5 p. 2 times;

5) 4 p. 5 times and 5 p. 5 times.

Close remaining 6 – 6 – 6 – 8 – 8 p.

Before

Knit as a back piece until the needles are 86 – 88 – 90 – 92 – 98 sts.

To cut the neckline, close the center 49 – 50 – 51 – 52 – 53 cm from the cast-on edge. 12 – 12 – 12 – 14 – 14 sts, finish both parts of the front separately. In the neckline line, close on each side 5 sts 1 time, 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 3 times.

After 51.5 – 52.5 – 53.5 – 54.5 – 55.5 cm from the cast-on edge for the shoulder bevels, close on each side at the beginning of each row:

1) 4 p. 5 times;

Side parts

On 3 mm knitting needles, cast on 80 sts, knit 6 cm with an elastic band as for the back, switch to 3.5 mm knitting needles, continue with the shadow pattern as described above, decreasing 10 sts evenly in the 1st row = 70 sts. In every 6th row bind off 1 stitch on each side 20 times, then in every 4th row bind off 1 stitch on each side 3 times. After 37.5 cm from the cast-on edge for the armholes, close the center. 6 stitches of the row, finish both parts separately. From the armhole side, close on both sides 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times. Close remaining 2 p.

Right sleeve

On 3 mm knitting needles, cast on 60 – 64 – 70 – 74 – 78 sts, knit 7 cm with 1x1 rib (k1, purl 1), switch to 3.5 mm knitting needles, continue with stockinette stitch, adding 1 at a time p. on each side:

1) in every 12th row 7 times;

2) in every 12th row 7 times;

3) in every 12th row 3 times, then in every 10th row 5 times;

4) in every 10th row 4 times, then in every 8th row 6 times;

5) in every 8th row 11 times.

On knitting needles 74 – 78 – 86 – 94 – 100 sts. 37 cm from the cast-on edge, continue knitting with a shadow pattern, adding 1 st on each side to the next. 18th row = 76 – 80 – 88 – 96 – 102 p.

After 46 cm from the cast-on edge, begin forming the slope of the sleeve, to do this, close the loops on each side (in every 2nd row, unless otherwise stated):

1) 3 stitches 1 time, 2 stitches 1 time and 1 stitch 1 time, then in every 4th row close 1 stitch 3 times, in every 6th row close 1 stitch 3 times, in each 4 -th row close 1 stitch 4 times, then close 2 more stitches 1 time and 3 stitches 1 time;

3) in every 10th row, 1 stitch 2 times, then in the 8th row, 1 stitch 1 time;

4) in every 10th row, 1 stitch 2 times, then in the 8th row 1 time;

5) in every 10th row, 1 p. 3 times.

After 68 – 68.5 – 69 – 69 – 70 cm from the cast-on edge, close the loops on each side:

For the right side: 9 p. 1 time, 3 r. 1 time and 2 sts 1 time, then in every 4th row 1 st 2 times, then in every 6th row 1 st 6 times.

For the left side: 1 stitch 1 time, in every 8th row close 1 stitch 4 times.

After 78.5 – 79 – 79.5 – 79.5 – 80.5 cm, close the remaining. 3 p.

Left sleeve knit symmetrically to the right.

Collar 

On 3 mm knitting needles, cast on 138 – 138 – 138 – 144 – 144 sts, knit 3 cm with 1x1 rib, then 1 row of knit stitches. Next, perform a couple more rows of stockinette stitch using waste thread.

Assembly

Sew the side pieces between the front and back pieces, leaving the elastic loops unsewn. Sew in the sleeves and connect them to the main piece at points A, B, C and D on the pattern. Sew the collar from the faces. side seam back needle.
