You will need: 400 g brown yarn (yak wool, merino extra fine; about 130 m/50 g); knitting needles No. 4,5 and 5.
Knitting patterns
Elastic band 1x1, knitting needles No. 4.5: alternately 1 purl. p., 1 persons. P.
Purl stitch, knitting needles No. 5: knit. R. - purl p., out. R. – persons P.
Braid pattern, knitting needles No. 5: knit according to the pattern. The diagram shows the 1st half of the rapport and the front rows. In purl rows, knit loops according to the pattern or instructions. Knit the 2nd half of the rapport in mirror image. 1–182nd r. repeat 1 time.
Knitting density, braid pattern: 21 p. x 32 r. = 10 x 10 cm.
Description of work
Back. Cast on 85 stitches on needles No. 4.5 and knit with 1x1 rib. After 9 cm from the starting row, change the needles to number 5 and knit with a “braid” pattern = 91 sts after the 33rd row. For armholes, 48 cm from the starting row (measure by hanging), decrease on both sides according to the knitting pattern = 73 sts. At an armhole height of 21 cm for shoulder bevels, decrease on both sides according to the knitting pattern. Next, knit directly on the remaining 47 sts. After 79 cm from the initial row, loosely bind off all the loops.
Before. Knit like a back.
Sleeves. Cast on 44 stitches for each sleeve on needles No. 4.5 and knit with 1x1 rib. After 9 cm from the starting row, change the needles to number 5 and knit with purl stitch. For a side bevel, add on both sides every 10th r. 8 x 1 p. = 60 p. To roll up the sleeves, 46 cm from the beginning row, close in every 2nd r. 2 x 2 p. and decrease 4 x 1 p., decrease in every 4th r. 3 x 1 p., then decrease in every 2nd p. 5 x 1 p. and bind off 1 x 2 p. and 2 x 3 p. At the height of the sleeve hem of 15 cm, bind off the remaining loops.
Assembly. Sew side seams. Sew in the sleeves.
