Chic Oversize idea from the 90s
Size 38/40
You will need: 850 g beige yarn (100% cotton; 90 m/50 g); knitting needles No. 3 and 3.5; 5 knitting needles No. 3.
Rubber: alternately 1 knit, 1 purl.
Openwork pattern: knit according to the pattern. Along the width of the row, start with loops before the 1st arrow, repeat the rapport between the arrows, and end with loops after the 2nd arrow. The numbers on the right indicate the front rows, in the purl rows knit the loops according to the pattern, knit the yarn overs with the front ones. Repeat in height from rows 1 to 52.
Knitting density: 24 p. x 34-35r. = 10 x 10 cm.
Before: on knitting needles No. 3, cast on 117 sts and knit with an elastic band of 5 cm, in the last purl row evenly add 16 sts, casting them crossed from broaches = 133 sts. Then knit in an openwork pattern with knitting needles No. 3.5. After 53 cm = 182 r. From the elastic band, close the middle 15 stitches for the neckline and then finish both sides separately. To round the neckline, close from the inner edge in every 2nd r. 1 time 3 p., 1 time 2 p. and 6 times 1 p. After 60 cm from the elastic band, close in a straight line 48 p. for the shoulders.
Back: knit as before, but without rounding the neckline. After 60 cm from the elastic band, close all the loops. 48 sts on each side form the shoulders, the middle 37 sts form the edge of the neckline.
Sleeves: on knitting needles No. 3, cast on 51 sts and knit with an elastic band of 6 cm, while in the last purl row evenly add 30 sts, casting them crossed from broaches = 81 sts. Then knit in an openwork pattern with knitting needles No. 3.5. For bevels, starting from the elastic, add 10 times on both sides in every 6th row. and 16 times in every 4th r. 1 p. = 133 p. After 38 cm from the elastic band, close the loops.
Assembly: sew shoulder seams. Along the edge of the neckline, cast on 102 stitches on 4 knitting needles and knit a 2 cm wide binding with an elastic band, then close the loops according to the pattern. Sew in the sleeves, sew side seams and sleeve seams.
