Men's melange sweater

Yarn of two colors, joined together, creates a melange effect. In combination with plain sleeves, cuffs and collar, this solution looks very stylish!

You will need

Yarn (80% sheep wool, 10% cashmere wool, 10% polyamide; 320 m/50 g) - 400 (450-500-550) g black-green and 200 (250-300-350) g light gray; knitting needles No. 3,5 and 4; circular knitting needles No. 3.5, 40 cm long.

Alternately knit 2, purl 2.

Facial surface

Front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops. In circular rows, knit all stitches.

Chess pattern

Alternately knit 2, purl 2, shift stitches in every 2nd r.

Knitting density

21 p. x 36 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with a checkerboard pattern;
20.5 p. x 31 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with stockinette stitch.

Next, knit on needles No. 4 with double thread (= 1 thread each of black-green and light gray) in a checkerboard pattern, while in the 1st row, evenly distributing, add 0 (2-2-2) stitches = 110 ( 120-128-136) p.

After 53 (55-57-59) cm = 190 (198-206-212) r. From the bottom bar, close the middle 24 stitches for the neckline and finish the left side first.

To round the neckline, close along the inner edge in every 2nd r. 4 times 2 p.

After 2.5 cm = 10 r. from the beginning of the neckline, close along the outer edge for shoulder bevels 1 time 7 (8-8-9) p. and in every 2nd r. 4 times 7 sts (4 times 8 sts - 4 times 9 sts - 1 time 9 sts and 3 times 10 sts).

Finish the second side symmetrically.

Knit like a back, but for a deeper neck close off the middle 12 stitches after 52 (54-56-58) cm = 188 (194-202-208) r. from the bottom bar and finish both sides separately.

Next, knit on needles No. 4 in stockinette stitch, while in the 1st row, evenly distributing, add 0 (2-2-2) sts = 42 (48-52-56) sts.

For bevels in 9 (9-9-7) p. from the bar, add 1 p. on both sides, then in every 8th r. 17 times and the next 6th p. 1 time (every 8th row 9 times and every 6th row 10 times - in the next 8th row 1 time and every 6th row 20 times - every 6th row 12 once and every 4th row 13 times) 1 p. = 80 (88-96-106) p.

After 50 (48-46-44) cm = 156 (148-142-136) r. close all loops from the bar.

Assembly

Sew shoulder seams.

Along the edge of the neckline, using circular knitting needles, cast on 112 stitches with double black and green thread and knit 10.5 cm = 40 rounds. with an elastic band. Close the loops freely.

Sew in the sleeves. Sew sleeve seams and side seams.
