Lilac dress with round yoke

The beauty of the openwork yoke attracts attention to this dress.

You will need: about 600 g of lilac yarn containing lycra, 100 g of shiny ribbon thread to match the main yarn, knitting needles No. 3.5 and No. 4, circular knitting needles No. 3.5, button.

First you need to make a life-size pattern of parts according to Fig. 5, knit a sample with stockinette stitch and determine the knitting density.

Start knitting the dress from the yoke down.

To do this, cast on the estimated number of loops with a finishing thread and knit (alternating it with the main thread) 3 rows of garter stitch in turning rows.

Continue knitting with the finishing thread using the “corners” pattern according to pattern 5.

The diagrams show only the front rows; in the purl rows, knit all the loops according to the pattern.

Having completed the repeat pattern of pattern 5, connect the fabric and knit in a circle in the next pattern. order:
3 rows in garter stitch, 10 rows in a mesh pattern according to pattern 5a with finishing thread, 10 rows in a pattern according to pattern 5b with finishing thread.

Next, start forming raglan lines, distributing the loops according to the pattern, and knit with the main thread in stockinette stitch. Having reached the armholes, slip the sleeve loops onto the auxiliary thread, divide the fabric into 6 equal parts, mark the borders of the side seams, front and back darts with a colored thread and knit the front and back in a circle, decreasing along these borders to the waist line.

Knit from the waist, increasing by knitting LPs crossed from broaches, and regularly checking the dimensions of the product with the pattern. Having completed the fabric to the desired length, close the loops.

Unravel the auxiliary thread by casting on the open loops of the right sleeve on circular knitting needles and knit, making decreases according to the pattern.

At a height of 29 cm from the raglan line, close the loops.

Do the left sleeve in the same way.

Make an air loop on the right side of the back yoke, and sew a button to the left.
