Puff sleeves, diamonds, a pattern of “leaves”: such a variety is more likely to be possible for experienced craftswomen. But you will have a jumper made of snow-white cotton - a real eye-catcher!
Dimensions 38/40 (42/44) 46/48
You will need: yarn (100% cotton; 90 m/50 g) - 700 (750) 800 g white; knitting needles No. 4 and 5; circular knitting needles No. 4.
Patterns and schemes
Rubber
Knit (knitting needles No. 4) = rows in forward and reverse directions (even number of loops). Front and back rows: edge, alternately 1 front, 1 back, edge.
Circular rows: alternately 1 knit, 1 purl.
Knit the following patterns on needles No. 5.
Facial surface
Front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops.
Leaf pattern
For 21 loops. Knit according to diagram 1. It shows the facial rows. In the purl rows, knit all the loops according to the pattern, purl the yarn overs. On the outer 7 sts, constantly repeat the 1st-4th rows and on the middle 7 sts, repeat the 1st-10th rows.
Diamond pattern
For 33 loops.
Knit according to diagram 2. It shows the facial rows. In the purl rows, knit all the loops according to the pattern, purl the yarn overs. Work rows 1-44 3 times (= 132 rows), finish with rows 133-136.
Sleeve pattern
The number of loops at first is a multiple of 5 + 2 edge loops = knit according to. diagram 3. The pattern consists of 2 parts: an openwork pattern and a patent pattern.
For the openwork pattern, only front rows are given. In the purl rows, knit all the loops according to the pattern, purl the yarn overs. Constantly repeat the rapport between the edges. Work rows 1-4 16 times = 64 rows, finish with rows 65 and 66. After this, the front and back rows are given.
To change the pattern, perform the 67th and 68th rows once, while making decreases according to. pattern, the number of loops in each repeat is reduced by 3 stitches = even number of loops.
Then, for the patent pattern, constantly repeat the 69th and 70th rows.
Emphasized decreases
At the beginning of the row = edge stitch, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the left (= slip 1 stitch like a knit stitch, knit 1 stitch, then pull it through the removed loop); at the end of the row = 2 stitches, knit together the front, edge.
Knitting density
19 p. x 24.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted in stockinette stitch; 21 p. = width 9.5 cm, knitted with a “leaf” pattern; 20.5 p. x 24.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm, 33 p. = width 16 cm, knitted with a diamond pattern; 22 p. x 24.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with an openwork sleeve pattern up to the 66th row; 14 p. x 34 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with a patent pattern from the 67th row (measure slightly stretched).
Please note that in the patent pattern only every 2nd row is visible in the knitted fabric.
Completing of the work
Back
Using a cross-shaped cast-on (see page 20), cast on 106 (112) 120 sts on the knitting needles and knit 6 cm with an elastic band for the placket, while in the last purl row add 1 st = 107 (113) 121 sts.
Continue working as follows: edge stitch, 15 (18) 22 stitches in stockinette stitch, 21 stitches in a “leaf” pattern, 33 stitches in a diamond pattern, 21 stitches in a “leaf” pattern, 15 (18) 22 stitches in knit stitch satin stitch, edge stitch.
After 36 cm = 88 rows (33.5 cm = 82 rows) 31 cm = 76 rows from the bar, close for a raglan bevel on both sides 1 x 5 p., then decrease in every 2nd row 29 (32) 35 x 1 p.
At the same time, after 55.5 cm = 136 rows from the bar, close off the middle 23 (23) 25 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
To round the inner edge, cast off 5 x 1 sts in every 2nd row.
After 60.5 cm = 148 rows from the bar, close off the remaining 3 stitches, they belong to the neckline.
Before
Knit like a back.
SLEEVES Cast on 48 (52) 56 stitches on knitting needles in a cross-shaped cast-on for each sleeve and knit 5 cm with an elastic band for the placket, start with an edge and 1 purl, finish with 1 knit and an edge. In the last purl row, add 69 (75) 81 stitches as follows: edge stitch, * knit 3 stitches from the next stitch (= 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 purl), double the next stitch (= knit 1 knit and 1 knit crossed) , from * repeat 22 (24) 26 more times, finish with 1 edge = 117 (127) 137 p.
Continue working with the sleeve pattern = 23 (25) 27 repeats.
To change the pattern, after 27 cm = 66 rows from the bar, make decreases according to. pattern = 48 (52) 56 p. After 28 cm = 68 rows from the bar, continue working with the patent pattern.
After 12 cm = 40 rows (9.5 cm = 32 rows) 7 cm = 24 rows from changing the pattern, close for a raglan bevel on both sides 1 x 5 p., then subtract emphatically in every 4th row 14 (16) 18 x 1 p.
After 29 cm = 98 rows from changing the pattern, close off the remaining 10 sts.
Assembly
Sew raglan seams, stretching the raglan edges of the sleeves accordingly. Sew side seams and sleeve seams.
For the binding, cast on 106 (106) 110 sts on circular knitting needles along the edge of the neckline and knit 3 cm with an elastic band in circular rows. Then close all the loops according to the drawing.
